Anand 'Kav' Kaviraj is the master of Silver Age Comics. He finds some strange and wonderful things in those old school comics. Today he has discovered a very bad trade in Fantastic Four #16.
Ok this is a weird one from Fantastic Four #16. Dr Doom is trading the Fantastic Four to an alien race and apparently it is worth it to them to have a guy who can become a bridge, some dude to pound rocks, a human torch because they aren't advanced enough to develop flame throwers even though they have advanced beam weapons etc., and YIKES....a scullery maid! Sue Storm definitely needs a celebrity makeover! For this they trade world-conquering technology to Doom. They're like those little kids that you can trade a 'big' nickel for a 'small' dime. They must have got off the short spaceship I guess.
